Here are books that my kids either read or books that were recommended on different websites for beginning readers. My kids read a lot of them in kindergarten but this list includes also books my son read right at the beginning of 1st grade.
I know that each library has a section on Easy Readers. It was a great resource at the beginning but as my kids started reading more, we ran out of titles they’d be interested in, and I often stood in front of those shelves looking for a book they would enjoy and couldn’t really find one. Since we have such a fabulous library network and can request items from other libraries, I just started looking for the titles online.
